People think this is just a joke but Alan Turing was the inventor of the computer and his sexuality was illegal in his time (which was not even 100 years ago) and he was arrested. They put him on drugs that destroyed his genius brain and committed suicide a year after being covicted. He was gay and a war hero as well. He helped to break enigma which was a German code that they put all their messages through. He shorted WWII by two years and saved so many lives in the process.

not to sound sappy but a hug really is the best kind of physical expression out there; i was freezing today and caught off guard three times with hugs that made me immediately forget the cold and feel a warmth equivalent to a sunset nestling within me.. goodbye hugs - perhaps permanent. perhaps promising a reunion- , surprise hugs, a familiar greeting, ones that start off too tight and softens with a lingering, that begin with “can i give you a hug?”, awkward pats developed into firm embraces, that ended too soon, hugs between friends, people you just got to know, the revered, the beloved, the one who you took to despise you, the forgotten.. they all just stay so close.
rewatched Whisper of the Heart for the hundredth time
been feeling like my head’s going from 0 to 100 to 0 mph all the time (school! things! I work at a jazz radio station now! what!) but this movie always puts me in a good place
My parents bank account has been locked and their card turned off to prevent anything further from happening but someone has hacked and stolen from us and while the bank is working to getting our money back (investigating takes a good week or so I’ve been told + another week for things to actually work ) we have nothing for the next 2 weeks or so.
That also puts us in a terrible spot as we run our own cafe and need money to pay for things not only for said cafe but for us as well like food, travel etc.
I have a small amount of money to my own name as im a commission based artist but it isn’t enough to support my family of 6 and a cafe, please donate if you can.
